Volcano Twilight Tour (Hawaii Volcanoes National Park)
Explore Hawaii's most active Volcano and feel the energy of Pele (the Hawaiian Volcano Goddess). Our tour leaves Hilo and ascends 3000 ft. as the roadside scenery changes from sea level vegetation and coconut trees to lush rainforest and flowering Kahili Ginger plants in profusion. Take in nature's most exquisite beauty at our first stop, Akatsuka Orchid Gardens, with it's showroom full of hundreds of orchids. We then travel a few more miles to the Volcanoes National Park at 4000 ft. in elevation. We walk through Thurston Lava tube, see Kilauea Iki Crater where lava once fountained thousands of feet skyward, stand next to steaming vents, and discover remarkable formations throughout the park. You will then do a 1.8 mile hike from the steam vents towards our last stop of Halemaumau Crater and Jaggar Museum, where you will see the billowing smoke slowly start to glow from a lava lake below the surface as the sun sets. From the beauty of the rainforests flora and fauna to the devastation at Halemaumau Crater, this is a part of Hawaii you don't want to miss and you'll always remember. Make A Reservation Today!
