Arnott's Mauna Kea Summit Expedition Arnott's Mauna Kea Summit Adventure is normally run as as a Sunset and Starshow, also goes as daytime charters, this gallery will depict pictures from our most recent expeditions. Mauna Kea is high, 13796ft or 4200m we provide supplimental Oxygen for those who need it. We visit Keck Telescope seasonally and on weekdays. During summer the time between Kecks 4:00pm closing to the public and sunset is too long for most people to remain at high altitude. Mauna Kea is much much more than Telescopes, it is a very spiritual Mountain and has a large number of Hawaiian sacred sites. Weather changes fast at 14,000ft so as long as the road is open we go !!
