The
Big Island and Hilo
The
Big Island is revered as a "special place" by all residents
of the state. First it is the "Big Island" - bigger than
all other islands combined.
Hawaii is spectacular. Active volcanoes, waterfalls, 14,000 foot
mountains, black, green and white sand beaches, fishing, diving,
hiking, biking, you name it, you can do it on Hawaii, away from the
crowds.
Hilo
is an old sugar town of quaint houses and buildings now being lovingly
restored to its former glory. A traffic jam in Hilo is about eight
cars in a row.
Hilo flows down the lower slopes of Mauna Kea mountain, home of the
world famous astronomical observatories of several major nations.
The town straddles a tranquil river with pools, waterfalls and lush
vegetation.
Hilo's secret is that it is the center for the finest adventures
Hawaii has to offer and we do them!!
