survey of other Hilo Hotels September 2006 confirms our great budget prices
Our prices include 11.41% State Taxes. Compare carefully with prices which do not.
Our $25 Dorm bunk is $25 ........ their $22 Bunk is $24.51 and we have 300 free movies !!
Our $60 Semi priv. is $60 ......... they don't have a semi private category.
Our $70 Deluxe is $70 ................their $80 Comparable Room is $89.12 !!
Prices may be double or more during special events and the April Merrie Monarch
Festival. Guests checking in after 8:00pm will be charged $5 a head which goes
to the person who waits up....not to Arnott's Lodge. This enables us to have late
check in and still maintain our budget prices.
Tenting
- Per person - your tent ... NO RESERVATIONS REQUIRED OR TAKEN.
Small and medium size self supporting tents only. No family sized or monster tents..
We may charge up to $40 for very large tents even if only one or two people occupy it. |

for guests. Nearby white and black sand beaches, pleasant "out of city" environment
with nice walks, turtle and seasonal whale viewing. Highly rated by Lonely Planet and
Pauline Frommer's Hawaii. Our famous Guest appreciation Saturday free dinner. |

- Please check in by 8:00 pm .....
our great prices & amenities are only maintainable by
limiting staff hours. Between 8:00pm and 10:00pm there
is a $5 a head surcharge which goes to the late check
in concession. There are NO check ins after 10:00pm.
Last flights into Hilo are now beyond our check in time,
you need to take an earlier flight to make the
8pm check-in deadline and avoid a $5 a head late check
in fee (up to 10:00pm only).
We are unable to check in late arriving
ATA and GO guests until the early arrival 9:20pm spring/summer
schedule recommences. We regret that winter delays and after
11:00pm (sometimes 3:00am !!) arrival times mean you must stay
at a 24 hour Hotel for your first night in Hilo. This includes
Dormitory guests, Tenters may set up on our large lawn and check
in the following morning, so long as they are quiet and do not
disturb others.
- A surcharge of $5 a head will be levied for check-ins
after 8:00 pm. No check ins available after 10:00 pm.
We apologize for this necessity but nearby Hotels
charge $50.00 to $200.00 per
night extra for 24 hour check in. The late charge goes directly
to the person checking you in as his or her "wage" for waiting around.
- Seven day stay limit on tents and rooms, we maintain our
ambiance by not allowing residence to develop, genuine out of
state and international travelers may request an extension on a
day to day basis.
- Your credit card will be charged for one night as soon as you
make the reservation. We regret that ever changing credit card
security issues and cardholder status have forced this upon us
to determine viability of the card and information. So long as you
cancel 48 hours ahead of the reservation your charge will be cheerfully refunded.
- Nearby Store for basic food purchases, closes 7pm. The
nearest Restaurant, 24 hour Kens is 1.5 miles away. Please plan
ahead if you are arriving late.
